JOY POWERS
Director of Business Development, US & Canada

Based in Orlando, FL, Joy is responsible for maintaining relationships with Concord clients, as well as introducing Concord to prospective, new clients in the eastern regions of the United States and Canada. Joy began her career in the timeshare industry in 1986 as an account manager for RCI.

Prior to joining Concord in June of 2005, she served as RCI’s Southeast Region Director, overseeing the Account Service team for over 500 RCI affiliates. Joy has also worked for Orlando-based Island One Resorts/Club Navigo and Starwood Vacation Ownership. Originally from Centerville, OH, Joy graduated from Miami University, in Oxford, OH, with a B.S. degree in Home Economics and Consumer Sciences, majoring in retail marketing and management.

A longtime American Resort Development Association (ARDA) member, Joy currently serves on the ARDA International Foundation Accreditation Board, Meetings Committee, Resort Management Committee and the ARDA Supplier’s Committee. In 1995, Joy earned ARDA’s RRP (Registered Resort Professional) Award, a designation given to those industry leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to high ethical and professional standards through long-term participation in educational and industry-related activities.
